Atwood Concert Hall in Anchorage, AK

What an extraordinary two weeks Aladdin had in Anchorage at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts’ Atwood Concert Hall. We ran from April 10-21, and the audiences were wonderful. Our cast was also able to present a sold-out, one-night-only cabaret to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Mad Myrna’s, an awesome Anchorage bar, was gracious enough to host us, and we had a very fun night while raising a lot of money for a great cause.

And with the luxury of a two-week sit-down, it gave us a chance to take in the beauty and unique adventures that Alaska has to offer. Two particular highlights were a dogsledding experience with professional dogsledder and Iditarod competitor Nicolas Petit (where I met my new best friend, Suzy) and a guided hiking tour on the Matanuska Glacier.

Thank you, Alaska, for such an incredible visit - I can’t wait to come back!
